  • Counseling is a collaborative effort between the counselor and client. Professional counselors help clients identify goals and potential solutions to problems which cause emotional turmoil; seek to improve communication and coping skills; strengthen self-esteem; and promote behavior change and optimal mental health.   • Our counseling focuses on individuals dealing with trauma, anxiety, depression, and other life issues. We do not currently counsel children, couples, or families.

  • Yes. If you have recently noticed, felt, or experienced an event that grabbed your attention or you have been trying to manage it for many years, speaking with a counselor is a great step in the process of healing, understanding, and hope.

  • That depends. For some, only a few sessions are necessary to get back on track. In contrast, others may need more sessions to be equipped with tools that lead to healing. Specific therapy also requires multiple sessions to fully complete.

  • We will never force anyone to remain a client with us. In fact, we belong to a network of licensed clinical counselors and therapists whom we would highly recommend. However, it might just take some time to establish a great connection with any counselor.

  • Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) is evidenced-based treatment for PTSD and other trauma and stressor disorders, including addiction, anxiety, depression, as well as other issues.

  • Absolutely! We comply with strict HIPPA laws that protect you and will gladly provide details about our confidentiality and protection policies.

  • Counseling services are available Monday—Thursday, by appointment only.

  • Yes. We understand that unexpected events and illness cannot be planned. In these events, we will do our best to work with you. However, all policies will be discussed during your orientation.

  • No, but our counselor may make referrals within her network of counseling professionals.

  • No, our counselor does not attend court with, or on behalf of, clients.

  • While we are a Christian-focused counseling practice, we welcome all persons regardless of religious background.
